Free parental controls software offered

Parents now have free access to cutting-edge parental control software from Florida-based BluePrint Data, the company has announced.

BluePrint is releasing its highly-rated Kidsnet Internet Parental Control product for free on the internet. Kidsnet Parental Control allows parents to check almost every website possible. It has reviews of 98 percent of all traffic on the web. And the reviews are done by highly-trained content specialists. In 2005 Consumer Reports gave Kidsnet Parental Control its highest rating of excellent, due to its "ease of use and flexibility".

Bob Dahlstrom, BluePrint Data's chief executive, said: "We are delighted to be able to provide parents, teachers, and others the opportunity to help protect children from the dangers posed by the internet and internet content." As well as parental control software, BluePrint also offers anti-spam and anti-virus products, along with web filtering. Meanwhile, a new web browser specifically for children and virtually hosted by Miss America, Lauren Nelson, has made its debut.
