Jennifer Love Hewitt has reacted angrily to internet taunts making fun of a picture of her wearing a bikini at the beach.

The curvy actress was caught showing cellulite while frolicking on the beach in Hawaii with her boyfriend Ross McCall. The pictures have been widely shown on the internet and ridiculed. But Hewitt, 28, has said that she is proud of her body and that the cruel jibes contribute to man young girls having bad body images.

She wrote on her website: "To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all the girls out there that are struggling with their body image. "A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful."

Hewitt went on to urge "all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist", to put on bikinis and not be shy.
